John is the third generation of a family that has worked in the trades since his grandfather, and the son of a master plumber. Today he’s CEO of GFD Developers, the real estate company behind THS. He still rides along on tough jobs, and every technician who works here is trained to his standard.

THS grew out of three generations of the Tatum family working in people’s homes. John’s grandfather was a general contractor, his father a master plumber, and his uncle a master electrician. The trades we work in today are the ones we grew up in.
Growing up in a family that never stopped building, fixing, and improving homes, we saw what homeowners actually need, and how frustrating it is to juggle four different contractors just to get simple work done right. That frustration became the blueprint for THS.
